Online Book of Condolence in memory of Ashling Murphy

17 January 2022

Cllr. PJ Ryan, Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, has opened an online book of condolence for the late Ashling Murphy, as a sign of solidarity with her family and friends.

The Cathaoirleach described Ashling’s passing as “utterly tragic” and extended his sympathy to all who knew her.

Pat Dowling, Chief Executive, Clare County Council, also expressed his sympathies to Ashling’s family, friends, pupils, and the people of Tullamore.

“She was a young woman at the very start of a bright career in education, with her whole life ahead of her. My thoughts, and the thoughts of the people of Clare, go out to Ashling’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
